Lovely vintage porcelain powder or trinket box is hinged with a snap close front. White porcelain top and bottom with purple and lavender flowers, vines. This is an oldie, but still in very good condition. A ladies " Vanity" - A private place to ponder, play, reflect and dream. A place to try out a new hairstyle, perfume or expression. Beautiful dresser and vanity containers or boxes were considered a necessity for a ladies boudoir. They were used not only for powder, but for hair clippings, small trinkets, rings and scent pomanders. They were made of glass, porcelain and metals - sometimes gold or sterling.
