Victorian Hanging Valentine Ca 1890 Four Leaf Clover Shape
Victorian Hanging Valentine is an original, unsigned vintage Valentine Ca. 1890. This lovely Valentine is over one hundred years old and is in the shape of a shamrock or four leaf clover with roses, forget-me-nots, lillies of the valley and leaves and sayings on each leaf.
The top leaf says, "I love you dearly/Oh, how true!/Ah tell me,/is this/news to you!"
The leaf on the right says, "Excuse me if i/speak ,y mind./To love you/I am much inclined.
The bottom leaf says, "In your heart my/home I view/There I'll live/and live for you."
The left leaf says, "Excuse me if /I speak my mind/To love you/I am much/inclined."
The Valentine measures approximately 6 x 6" and the ribbon is hanging by threads. The Valentine has its own easel back so that it can stand up for display.
Other than the hanging by two threads ribbon, this Valentine is in Excellent Condition, but because of the ribbon, we are calling this Very Good.
How exciting to have an unsigned, original Valentine that is over 100 years old!
