Vintage Coro Thermoset Lucite Plastic Moonglow Set in the original box with the original tags and card dates between 1945 and 1955. The set features a necklace, bracelet and clip earrings with brown "moonglow" rectangular cabochons in gold tone metal.

The moonglow cabochons are uniform in color -- a shimmery chocolate brown; however, they are reacting to the bright light of the camera in the pic so that they look a little like the color in tiger eye. That light reactive quality is one of the things collectors love most about moonglow plastic.

The necklace is adjustable from a wearable length of 13-1/4 to 17" with a fish hook closure and extender chain. The necklace is approximately 5/8" wide. The bracelet measures approximately 7-1/4 x 3/4" and has a fold over clasp. The matching ear clips measure approximately 3/4 x 1-1/4".

The set is Mint in the original box and when we removed the earrings from the card, it appeared that no one had ever taken them from the card. The necklace has the original 1945 Coro Pegasus Tag. The bracelet has a safety chain with spring ring clasp. The earrings are each signed in script on the narrow clips. The necklace is signed on the fish hook and the bracelet is signed on the bottom of the clasp.

The box is approximately 6 x 4 x 5/8" and features the 1945 to 1955 metallic gold Coro logo with Pegasus in the center. On the top of the leather textured box, there is a border decoration of gold with a fleur d' lis at each corner. The box is satin lined. It is in amazing shape with only two corners showing any evidence of wear and the bottom of the box has a 3/4 x 1/2" spot where there was obviously once a price tag. Some of the adhesive has remained and is darkened that small section.

This is a rarity -- a signed set in the original box, with original tags and original card. Every time I open this box, it takes me to another time. For a true vintage costume jewelry collector in pristine, original condition. From my personal collection...
