Castlecliff Modernist pin / brooch has a huge, central trapezoid rhinestone in emerald green in a rich gold tone setting that looks like gold nuggets. The trapezoid rhinestone in the center of this magnificent pin is open-backed and top-faceted. It measures approxmately 1-1/4 x 7/8" at the top and 5/8" at the bottom. The pin, itself, measures a generous 2-3/4 x 2-1/4" with a raised center in which the prong-set, trapezoid rhinestone is nestled. The design of this pin is spectacular and the gold tone plating looks like 24K gold. The pin is in Excellent Condition and is signed, "CASTLECLIFF" raised from the mold on the reverse of the pin. The Castlecliff company was a venerated costume jewelry house that was in business from 1918 to 1977 and sold in upscale stores like Saks Fifth Avenue. Judging by the design of this beauty, we think it dates to the late 1960s to 1970s. An iconic design by a respected vintage costume jewelry company, Castlecliff, this is a statement pin that is nothing less than remarkable! (#43814-CastlecliffModernistPinVintage)
