Rare vintage Elzac mouse pin features the Elzac mold that is shown on Page 191 of Brunalti's "Tribute to America". To quote Brunalti, "The diversity of these brooches is seen in the application of such materials as cloth, wood, fur, feathers, raffia, enamel and lucite added to the base design of the items." This very rare mouse pin is so whimsical and charming with its felt cheese wedge, pipe cleaner tail and hounds tooth check fabric tam. It measures approximately 2-7/8 x 1" and has the original pin closure first welded in lucite and then attached to the ceramic by Elzac's special process. We would like to note the following minor condition issues for the sake of full disclosure: the pin assembly is slightly loose from the ceramic although it seems still to be attached well enough to allow the pin to be worn for quite some time without repair. The felt piece of cheese has a notch in the fabric that can only be seen from the back so it seems to us to be intended to show where to place it during the manufacturing process. The pipe cleaner tail is also a bit soiled as would be expected due to its age. Otherwise, we consider this piece to be in Excellent Condition for Elzac pieces of this vintage. This Elzac mouse is sure to be a prized vintage acquisition for Elzac collectors. Price includes domestic UPS Ground shipping (#24382-ElzacMousePin)
