Intricately carved Soapstone Sculpture of Peacocks, floral and leaves on a pedestal. It appears about 30 carved pieces of soapstone were carved and then assembled on to a solid piece of soapstone backing. This in turn was inserted into a soapstone pedestal with pieces being added to the front of the pedestal. Below that is of course the wooden base.
Note the peacock with his head back and feathers billowing out below. Right below him is another peacock to the right. Many shades of green, light rose, pinkish and browns.
This is an exquisite piece of art and I really doubt you will see another like it with this mountain effect.
This piece measures 11 inches tall, by 9 inches wide and 3 inches deep. The actual carving is 9 inches tall, 6.5 inches wide and 2 inches deep. The piece weighs five (5) pounds.
