Victorian Fold-down Valentine features three layers with pink honeycomb. The back layer is a beautiful arbor of blue forget-me-nots with columns and a central stained glass type decoration. The second layer features a beautifully depicted Cupid or cherub with a cornucopia filled with violets and a large grouping of forget-me-nots and foliage that is on the scale of a bush and pink honeycomb. The front layer features a beautiful scenic plate and large violets and lillies of the valley. The fold-down flap has a decorated and applied rectangular die-cut with blue flowered and gold-trimmed edges with a central message "With best wishes" in fancy script. The Valentine measures approximately 5-7/8 x 3-5/8". It is in Very Good Condition. There is a tiny bare spot in the die cut at the very top center of the background piece which is visible in the picture. There is a slight crease at the bottom left corner of the fold-down flap and one of the large violets is slightly bent at the stem. Other than these minor flaws, we would have called the condition Excellent. The Valentine is signed in pencil on the reverse "To Eunice Habanson Feb 14 1908 from Mabel Anderson". A very pretty Victorian Valentine IMHO!
