Very unusual Hollycraft signed Christmas Tree Pin Brooch is a design we have never before seen and it is not in any of the Christmas jewelry books. The design reminds us of the scalloped Christmas tree pins that are marked Hollycraft and Pakula, but this is different. Perhaps it is a prototype.

It features round openings that have a rope twist textured design. Every alternate one has a leaf shaped gold tone design in its center and the alternating openings have the tiniest opalescent, marquise-shaped rhinestones. The rhinestones are unusual as well. They appear to have a watermelon tourmaline inside milky rhinestones that flash in the same way that opals do. You may look at one that simply appears cloudy and then when it is moved, it a vibrant flashes pink or deep blue, just like genuine opals. Not sure if this is due to aging or it is the original intention, but the effect is gorgeous, especially against the bright, rich gold tone of the tree. The treetop star has a deep blue Aurora Borealis clear rhinestone accent.

The tree measures approximately 2-1/4 x 1-1/2" and has a safety closure. It is signed, "HOLLYCRAFT" with a copyright symbol, not easy to see, but it is there and we think you can make it out in our pics.

The tree is in Excellent Condition. The rhinestones are beautiful, but we are not sure whether they have simply aged this beautiful way or they were intended to be the way they are, so we will call them Very Good. Actually the contrast between these glinting rhinestones shooting out color and light and the vibrant gold tone of the Christmas tree.
