Rare Art Deco face pin brooch with torch is a striking Art Deco image dating Ca. 1930s. This pin has been in my collection for many years and it is difficult to part with. This pin is not found in any of the costume jewelry books that we have seen, including Kathy Flood's "Vintage Visages".

We are rating this as in Very Good Condition due to the matte black enamel loss. Interesting that the most significant part of the enamel loss is a chip that is at the right temple of the mask that is somewhat obscured due to the leaves.

It is signed, "GERMANY" in a contoured area of the reverse of the pin.

The pin measures approximately 1-3/4 x 1-1/4" and has a working safety closure.

For Art Deco and face / mask pin brooch collectors, this is an incredible and intriguing costume jewelry relic that hearkens to all the great vintage costume jewelry we have yet to see. For discriminating collectors, this will be a significant find. It is a treasure.
