Amazing Moonglow lavender tank track bracelet and matching earrings is so evocative of the late 1940s and early Fifties. Mooglow plastic had just been invented, the Mid Century look was just percolating and the costume jewelry industry in the United States was producing iconic designer jewelry at prices women on budgets could afford. The best of this jewelry has survived in classic tank track designs interpreted by numerous jewelers with important names, in precious metals and stones and the continued experimentation with and elevation of plastics in jewelry design.

This tank track bracelet has a fantastic modern look worthy of any of today's pricey French plastic jewelry designers. The design is comfortable to wear and makes a statement that is on trend. The fact that this bracelet was found with matching clip earrings, presciently set on the diagonal, is fascinating to this jewelry history buff. They display such style and their scale tells us they were meant to be a prominent part of the set.

The bracelet measures just seven inches with the fold over clasp, so it will fit an average wrist comfortably. The earrings measure approximately 1-1/4 x 1-1/8" The clips have appropriate tension and work properly.

There are a few flecks of plating that are missing on the edge of the opening of the clasp, obviously from wear. Otherwise, in Excellent Condition.

Very rare in my experience, this is an important set that vintage jewelry collectors will appreciate and adore.
