Vintage Taxco Mexican sterling silver clip earrings are hand crafted beauties with raised, bezel-set, black tourmaline cabochons. Modernist good looks will make a welcome wardrobe favorite for looks from Boho to Minimalist.

The earrings measure 1-1/4" in diameter and they are domed approximately 1/2" from their base. They weigh approximately 27.5 grams of sterling silver.

The clips retain their proper tension and operate well. There are some superficial scratches and some tarnish so that some would want to polish them a bit, but they are certainly wearable. Otherwise, they are in Excellent Condition.

The earrings are signed, "TB-160 MEXICO .925". The T indicates that the silversmith was from Taxco. No other information is available save that the maker was the 161st person with some combination of the TB to register. Thanks to Billie Hougart's, "The Little Book..." for that information.
