Czech pin of filigree and topaz color rhinestones is an outstanding example of the filigree metal work and hand-cut rhinestones from the cottage industry along the Rhine River that is perhaps the finest we have ever found. Within each gathered flute of this incredibly airy and delightful ribbon-like creation, in two layers, is a prong-set, pear-shaped rhinestone alternating with a round rhinestone on the outer layer and round rhinestones within the inner layer. This pin is massive but not overly large for wearability -- large enough to make an important statement piece. It measures approximatey 3 x 2-1/4" and is in Excellent Condition. There is a European trombone clasp closure and the pin has an applied, rectangular signature plaque which reads, "CZECHOSLOVAKIA" in such tiny letters we could hardly get a picture even with extreme sharpening. This is a once-in-a-lifetime find for those who pine for the finest in vintage Czech jewelry and one we expect never to find again.
