COMPANY HISTORY

FJP Auctions was formed as Floyd, Johnson & Paine, Inc. in 1993 to offer orders and medals to the international collecting community, historians, museums, and other interested parties. Since August 1993 FJP has conducted four sales each year offering more quality U.S. decorations and medals than any other provider in the world. Simultaneously, the company has offered orders and medals from England, Germany, Russia, Japan, Spain, Italy, France and over one hundred other countries.

Sales are held in February, May, August, and November. The August sale is a combination live-mail bid sale held each year in conjunction with the annual convention of the Orders and Medals Society of America. Traditionally, the other three sales have been mail sales only. However, beginning in February 2006, a second live sale is held in conjunction with the Show of Shows in Louisville, Kentucky.

The company is owned by Jeffrey B. Floyd, Fred W. Rockwood, Barry C. Weaver and Richard & JoAnn Williams. Original partner Steve Johnson maintains a strong working relationship with the firm. Collectively, the partners have over eighty five years experience in the field and have authored more than fifty articles, pamphlets and books on orders, medals, militaria, and related subjects.

FJP’s principal office is located in Hilton Head South Carolina.
