Item Description:
This is an estate piece and is very old. The owner was a world traveler back in the 1940's - 50's and purchased this item along with others I will be adding to my sight. A very large necklace with lots of silver work and some stones I just have not been able to identify. I do know there is turquoise, jade amber, bone, coral, ivory and the large pendant is either jade or soapstone. It is highly carved and features the lightening goddess Mekala (I believe). She is called by different names in other locations. The carving is very detailed and is in very good condition. The findings are not sterling and have very low silver content. Measured less than 800. But this is an antiquity that has survived a very long time. If you are a collector of Asian or Mid Eastern items, I'm sure this would enhance your collection.

We do not thoroughly clean our vintage jewelry, leaving that to the preferences of the buyer, but if there are any serious problems, flaws or noticeable repairs, we will note it in the description.
