This is a wonderful estate piece and features a hand painted portrait of a couple in early costume. She with hair piled high carrying a fan in a gorgeous red gown you can only imagine to be velvet ! Using a magnifying glass you can see the hand painting in detail and this may be painted on ivory. It is signed (looks like) LRC at the bottom. It is under glass and has a trombone clasp on the back.
