Folding Cyclist's Cup, Pat'd Feb 23, 97 (1897), Made in USA

This unique folding drinking cup from the late 19th century could be carried in a pocket. I believe it is made of nickle plate, perhaps over brass.. It has a repousse cover picturing a woman and man in period dress, riding on a tandem bicycle with a landscape background and approaching the "10 Mile" marker.
