Victorian locket features gorgeous engraving over the entire front of the 1" round locket. Inside it is able to hold two pictures and has its original pictures, windows and frames. One of the windows is not clear so that it is difficult to see the woman with her Gibson girl upswept Victorian hairstyle in the photograph that exists beneath it. The other side holds a picture of a Victorian gentleman. The locket is signed underneath one of the pictures on the inside with a heart containing the initials "W & H" and is marked "1/2 gold shell. The marking stands for Wightman & Company of Providence, Rhode Island. The company dates from 1856 to 1922. We believe this locket to be a wonderful turn-of-the-century example. The reverse has flourishing initials that appear to be "GGD". The locket is in Excellent Condition. A wonderful heirloom over 100 years old -- simply beautiful! Price includes domestic UPS Ground shipping.
