Victorian Valentine dates Ca. 1900 and features gorgeous enbossing in an intricate lace pattern around a tipped in central picture of a wreath of pink dogwood blooms tied at the top with a pink bow, shaded metallic gold edges and the sentiment, "Best Wishes". The edges of the valentine feature graceful, embossed foliate scrollwork outlined in indigo and shaded in light grey. This pristine Victorian Valentine measures approximately 4-1/4 x 4-1/2" and has lovely floral decorated verse within. In a sepia tone, it reads, "All things blest and all/things fair/May thine onward journey share,/And whate'er the season/be,/Love and sunshine dwell with thee". The back has a pencil signature that reads, "Millicent from" with a wavy line, so apparently this was one that was from a secret admirer. :) In Excellent Condition, this is a very collection-worthy Victorian Valentine with lots of nostalgic sentiment and it's beautiful too!
