Vintage Uncle Same Metal Bank that we estimate from about 1914.  These banks were first produced around 1880, then again just before WWI, possibly before WWII and still being reproduced today.

Put a quarter in Uncle Sam's hand, push the button next to his feet and watch the hand drop down and the U.S. bag open.  His tongue also wags at the same time.

Some rust and pitting and is evident in the photo's but still operational.  Metal coin removal slot has been replaced with a rubber insert.

Most of these banks were produced at a patriotic time in our history.

Bank measures 11 1/2 inches tall, 4 3/4 inches wide and 3 3/4 inches deep.  The bank weighs 4 pounds and 8 ounces.
