Victorian Cameo Brooch - Outstanding !

A beautiful cameo in large antiqued goldtone/bronze setting with wreath and floral design. The brooch itself is 2-1/2" while the cameo is  about 1" oval.

The cameo is early celluloid with an ivory look.  If you look closely it even has the ivory grain but you can tell by the tiny (very tiny) age cracks that it is celluloid.  I have never seen one so delicately carved and the frame is outstanding. Older c-clasp with long pin stem. Could have been resoldered at one time. Don't see this style much anymore. A great piece for wearing or your collection.
