A rare find from an estate - Sterling Silver compact featuring the map of Central India on the front accented by rubies marking major cities/campaigns. This is all hand engraved in brushed sterling. On the back is noted "China Burma India" with the shield and 1943-44-45. The inside mirror is in good condition and all the mechanicals are there except a puff. This looks never used. It is marked inside and out and is numbered. A wonderful treasure and collectible. |
