Faberge egg type Egg Trinket Box is a beautifully enameled and jeweled miniature egg that not only has a secret hinged compartment within, but also can hold eight photos. This impressive and ornate egg is decorated with rich, raised coppery metal and enameled panels of buttery cream color with deep, rusty red and accented with lemon citrine and topaz colored rhinestones with a large golden citrine dentelle (point-up) rhinestone at the very top. The majesty of this regal and sumptuously decorated egg hearkens to those created for the Russian Czars during Victorian times from precious jewels and metal. This trinket box is attached to its own foliate stand that is fluted and expertly enameled and shaded. The egg opens on a hinge to reveal an inner compartment within to store a ring, locket or other small jewelry item.
