Brooch With Elk Head & Amethyst Glass Stone Signed "PAM"

This is an unusual piece.  It is round and has a silvertone mounting which is nicely decorated all around.  In the center is a silvertone elk's head & antlers, topped with a large amethyst foil back rhinestone, which is prong set.  The brooch measures 1 3/4" in diameter.  Stamped on the reverse side near the fastener is PAM with two hearts with an arrow through them.  A little further down it is stamped with the letter "K".  This is the only piece of PAM jewelry I have ever had.  I did quite a bit of research on it and all I could find was that it was possibly made in the 1950's, possibly by a French designer ~ Pierre Anton Masson, and jewelry with this mark is not found very often.
