Famous Trifari Crown Pin Brooch with seven luminous pearls, emerald green and clear rhinestones as well as alternating red and blue square rhinestones set of diagonal on the band has the look of precious rubies, sapphires, diamonds and emeralds. The simulated pearls are approximately 7mm and are exceptionally nice and in wonderful condition.
In Excellent Condition, the pin/brooch measures approximately 1-1/2 x 1" and has a safety closure. It is signed, "Trifari" with a crown over the T as well as "Pat. Pending" and "Sterling" on the reverse.
The patent for this design was applied for on January 25, 1945 and the patent was granted on April 25, 1945, so this specific piece was produced during the period before the patent number was assigned as 140,779. This enables us to be very specific when dating this particular pin / brooch. Once the patent number was issued, rather than Pat. Pending, the patent number would appear on the brooch. Alfred Philippe was the Head Designer for Trifari during this time during which some of the most iconic pieces of Trifari jewelry were produced.
We think this is an extra-special, early production of this famous and fairly scarce Trifari crown pin / brooch design. It is such an attractive design to wear, but this one is also a great "specimen" for a collection because we can identify its dating toward the early part of its run within a very short span of time.
Your beautiful Trifari Crown Pin / Brooch will arrive in our signature gift box with silver stretch tie, ready to love or give.
