Owl pin of vintage plastic from West Germany is a charming fellow in bright orange, purple, green, red, yellow black and white. This whimsical owl pin measures a generous 2-3/4 x 2-1/8" and has a safety closure. The pin dates from the 1950s and is marked "Made in West Germany" on the pin finding. The pin is in Excellent Condition on the front, but has a small chip to the black coating on the back of the pin in the bottom left corner revealing the underlying cream colored plastic. The plastic is approximately 1/8" thick, so there is no danger that the chip will compromise the corner of the pin nor does this affect the front when worn. Still, because of the chip, we are calling the condition "Very Good" although for wearing purposes the pin is in Excellent Condition.
