Russian lacquer pin is unusually large and has a very unique floral painting that resembles the chatoyant properties of Mother of Pearl, but we do not believe this is an inlaid pin. It is, in fact, testament to the talent of the artist who signed the pin: R. Mockea. This pin can be worn as shown or sideways as well. It measures approximately 2-3/4 x 1-1/8" and has a very secure closure that reminds us of a safety pin. This really spectacular Russian lacquer pin is dated 1989 and is in Excellent/Near Mint Condition. So beautiful and impressive for its size as well as the artistry of its hand painting that could pass for Mother of Pearl inlay. We had to examine it under a loupe to make certain it wasn't inlaid!
