Pair of Eastern Star 1939-1940 Leatherette Covers For ?

The smaller cover (2 3/4" high x 2 1/8" wide) fits inside the larger one(3 1/4" high x 2 1/2" wide).  They have decorative brass corners.  There is a dent in the lower corner of the larger cover.  The small one has a gold Eastern Star insignia; the large one has in gold:  S.R.W.C. 1939 - 1940.  I have been unable to locate any information on this cover nor on the set.  The cover of the larger one shows more wear than the smaller one. The larger one has a short tear of the open clear celluloid strip at the metal corner.  I do not know what they were made for; I thought maybe business cards or I.D. cards but being two different sizes, I truly do not know.   The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world that both men and women can join. It was established in 1850 by Rob Morris, a lawyer and educator from Boston, Massuchusetts, who had been an official with the Freemasons. It is based on teachings from the Bible, but is open to people of all monotheistic faiths.
