Very old and hard to find Ching Dynasty "Master Monk" Porcelain Figure, circa 1850 if not earlier.
This figure was recently appraised for $600 and we are selling here for $395.
This figure is in very good to excellent condition with no chips or repairs evident. The head, which is bisque, is slightly dirty but we have not tried to clean it. The base has a hairline crack at the hole, but this is not detrimental. The robe is glazed.
The figure, which we believe to be a monk, has his right hand up to his shoulder holding beads, and right hand at waiste he has a long robe draped over one shoulder which has a glaze.
His upper shoulders and head are very finely hand crafted on his mustache, beard and sideburns. Note the beaded necklace around his neck and held by his raised right hand.
