Recumbent Spelter metal Camel Inkwell with enamel hand painting.
This inkwell features a camel wearing a very decorative halter and saddle with bold colors of orange green and some white.
The saddle is on hinges, and opens to the inkwell which has its original glass insert for the ink. The camel is in very condition with very slight wear from age. It has some paint chipping on its muzzle, front legs and rear legs on the left side, which can be seen in detail in the pictures. The right side has only one area of chippingI. These chips could easily be repainted if you so desire.
The inkwell measures 9 inches in length, six inches in height and 4 inches wide. The inkwell weighs 2 pounds and 12 ounces.
