One of the many lacquer boxes we recently obtained from an estate. This box is the "Portrait of a Victorian Lady ". Signed but we can't distinguish signature. Extremely clear and detailed painting of this Victorian Lady. The original cost of this box was $210. Unusual curved top on this box. This box is excellent inside and out. One very slight scrape on top below the signature. Only noticed under extreme lightening. Any marks of white in the photo's are glare from the lighting, not imperfections.
