This is a wonderful Set of Fork & Spoon callled The story of the Kings Cross Pattern Olav Trygvason, the most famous Viking King of Norway, returned from England in 995A.D. It is made by Thomsen & Knudsen He had gone to England to plunder, but had been converted to Christianity while there and brought this new teachings back to pagan Norway. As a result of his new religion he originated an emblem design in the form of a cross with four crowns. This design was first engraved on a coin, and now appears on this collectors silver Plate. Both pieces are mint in the box & measure approx. 4-1/2" long. |
