This is a costume jewelry ring in the Art Deco style featuring silvertone base with black onyx rectangular stone. Top measures just over 1" long. This came with a collection of rings from Western Germany and eventhough it is not marked, I believe it is the same style. Rings have been worn almost since the beginning of fascination with adornment of the body. They have been fashioned from materials varying from gold and diamonds to cigar bands each seeking its own importance and place on an owners finger.
