Extraordinary Ciner Oriental Lady Pin is museum quality in every way. The subject matter, design, materials and craftsmanship are examples of the pinnacle of costume jewelry design and execution. The Ciner company began in 1892 and as testament to its quality costume jewelry which is carried in only the most upscale stores, it is still in business today. This pin dates to the early 1960s and came from a wealthy collector's estate. Women of means often wear the finest costume jewelry along with their precious pieces, but only the best. Ciner jewelry is made like precious jewelry and it is said that Elizabeth Taylor has purchased $40,000 worth of Ciner jewelry at one time. This incredible pin features an Oriental lady with a swinging bird cage on a pole over her shoulder. She is resplendent in quality simulated pearls, simulated emerald and ruby cabochons as well as twinkling clear crystal rhinestones in florentined goldtone metal. Attention to detail is evident in the rarely found finished reverse of the pin even showing the sculptured backs of the birds on the pole and even at the back of the cage! The pin measures approximately 2 x 1-3/8" and has a safety closure. It is signed "CINER" with a copyright symbol impressed into the mold on the reverse. In Near Mint Condition, we are proud to offer this museum quality vintage Ciner Oriental Lady Pin for discriminating vintage costume jewelry collectors. (#25241-CinerOrientalLadyPin)
