Rarely found matched vintage Czech pin, bracelet and earrings set is an outstanding example of Gurtler work that began in Gablonz, Bohemia and later was done in Czechoslovakia in the 1930s. The elements of this fantastic vintage Czech set required the same skill as required of a fine goldsmith. The metal was first painstakingly hand stamped. Then the elements were each hand soldered onto the piece, which might require as many as a dozen soldering steps. Then, the piece would be enameled, gilded, polished and finally the stones were hand set. All of this was done in a cottage industry within people's homes that were small family run businesses. This set features central oval, raspberry colored rhinestones offset by pink rhinestones and lemon enameled posies. The rhinestones in the set would also be hand cut, faceted and polished. The central oval rhinestone in the pin is slightly more pale than those in the bracelet. The central rhinestone in th eearrings is round. The set is rich in lacy, intricate detail. The bracelet measures approximately 6-1/2 x 11/16" and has a fine box clasp and safety chain with spring ring closure. The matching brooch measures a generous 2-1/2 x 1" and the earrings are approximately 3/4" round with unusual, early clips that are signed "CZECHOSLOVAKIA". The value in this set is the skillful, intricate and labor intensive hand work throughout that could never be reproduced today. Breathtakingly beautiful and very special, this wonderful set is truly a rare once-in-a-lifetime find! Price includes domestic UPS Ground shipping (#24474-CzechBraceletPinEarringsSet)
