Miriam Haskell baroque pearl necklace is museum quality. A variation of this necklace is shown on Page 87 of Angie Gordon's esteemed "Twentieth Century Costume Jewelry" which showcases (IMHO) many of the most desirable examples of vintage costume jewelry. This necklace features two graduated strands of the inimitable Miriam Haskell baroque pearls with amethyst glass bead and Russian goldtone filigree trumpets set with purple prong-set rhinestones and clear crystal rhinestone rose montees. Click here to see a close-up of the necklace. The shortest strand is adjustable to 17". The baroque pearls graduate from approximately 7.5MM on the extender chain to a whopping 16MM at the center -- gumballs!!! The necklace is in Excellent Condition with only the last pearl on the extender chain having several nicks as would be expected from fumbling with the fish hook clasp. Otherwise all pearls are pristine and there is no corrosion on the signature faceted goldtone spacer beads between the pearls. The signature is shown on our photograph as it exists on the reverse of the decorated section of the closure next to the fish hook. This is a once-in-a-lifetime Haskell find.
