Fruit Salad Pin: Vintage FRUIT SALAD & Goldtone Brooch Pin

This is a rare and luscious melange of flowers and leaves in beautiful and very three-dimensional faux carved emeralds, rubies and sapphires in goldtone metal. The centers of the flowers are accented with tiny sparkling clear faceted rhinestones. The pin measures approximately 1-1/2" round and has a safety closure. Although it is unsigned, it is possible that it is either unsigned Trifari or Mazer--our guess would be Mazer. It is in Very Good/Excellent Condition with a slight thinning of the goldtone on the high points. Beautifully executed and fashioned after the Cartier precious jewelry of the 1940s, fruit salad pieces (in this case, perhaps "flower salad") are much sought after by collectors. This is a wonderful example of the type of attention to detail that makes vintage costume jewelry so desirable.
