VINTAGE LENOX COMMEMORATIVE X-MAS PLATE W/DOUGLAS FIR

All That Glitters in Beautiful Bridgeport, Connecticut, brings you another fine piece of vintage Lenox china, a limited edition commemorative Christmas plate from 1976 featuring the image of the mighty Douglas fir (pseudotsuga taxifolia), "America's most popular Christmas tree." This wonderful plate, 10¾" in diameter, is in very good condition, with only a few light scratches. Gilded around the edge, with a lovely gilded seasonal holly pattern and the legend "Christmas 1976" on the inside lip. A highly detailed image of a Douglas fir and a small branch with a pinecone is on the face. The underside is notated with "LENOX PRESENTS A LIMITED CHRISTMAS COMMEMORATIVE ISSUE Douglas Fir" and a single paragraph telling the story of "America's favorite Christmas tree."
